Boston Theater Company seeks a SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER to join the organizations staff:


Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining social media posts

  • Creating engaging content for BTC brand that appeals to audience members, builds community, and maintains brand/voice

    • Utilizing quotes, images, behind the scenes content, etc. to publicize BTC productions and events

  • When applicable, creating graphics, images, and videos to help market production and events

  • Monitoring traffic and impressions to develop informed on-going social media strategy

  • Evaluating new social networks to be part when applicable

  • Participating in company check-ins and meetings

  • Assist with miscellaneous marketing/branding projects when applicable

  • Create monthly mailchimps to market to audience pool

  • participate in weekly email check-ins with staff

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience within Boston theater

  • A strong familiarity with social media platforms (particularly Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)

  • Excellent organization and writing skills

All candidates must have a Bachelors degree. This position has a stipend.
