Road of Rainbows 2024

This year’s Road of Rainbows will take place on Saturday, June 8th at the Boston Common Bandstand.

It will mark the FOURTH annual running of Boston Theater Company's Road of Rainbows - the first athletic event of its kind in Massachusetts, where gender has no bounds. At ROR, you be YOU and run for YOU, with love, support, and a team cheering you on!

Any and all funds go to put up the Road of Rainbows, including providing free or discount tickets to those who cannot afford it. Any remaining money goes to fund Boston Theater Company's The Queer Voices Festival.

June 10th 2023 marked the 3rd Annual Road of Rainbows, a celebration of LGBTQ+ arts and athletics! Thousands of runners and spectators ran/walked our course and stayed for performances. With dozens of events all over the city, the Common is a hub of excitement and RoR is in the heart of it all!

We aim for the Rainbow to shine on everyone. RoR is ASL interpreted, ADA accessible, and pay-what-you-can (including free tickets to all who cannot afford).  We’re proud that more than half of our participants have taken advantage of our reduced pricing. Because of our sponsors, RoR is able to be financially inclusive to all. Our 5K course is also accessible to varied athletic abilities- individuals have the option to be timed doing 3 laps or strut one! All awards are for all genders and RoR is completely Gender Neutral.

RoR was created to empower each individual to participate in an athletic event in a way that suits them best.
